Crawford welcomes Craig Lucas, Nicole Seay, Katie Scott Sellers and Shaylyn Simmons as the agency’s 2018 summer interns. Crawford Strategy offers year-round internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates. The 2018 summer intern class represents the most educationally diverse group in agency history.

“We are very fortunate to have such a talented group of interns working with us this summer,” said Allison Mertens, Senior Vice President of Corporate Growth. “We strive to involve our interns in a variety of projects so that they gain hands-on experience with all aspects of the marketing industry. This is one of our biggest and most educationally diverse intern classes yet. I look forward seeing how they contribute to Crawford Strategy during their time here.”

Nicole Seay is Crawford Strategy’s public relations intern, providing vital support to the PR team in effectively communicating client stories.  Nicole is a rising junior at Elon University and is majoring in strategic communications and media analytics with a minor in professional sales. At Elon, the Greenville native is the director of public relations for ETalk, a student-run entertainment talk show, and a designer for The Edge Magazine.

Craig Lucas, Katie Scott Sellers and Shaylyn Simmons serve the Crawford Strategy team as marketing and administrative interns. Together, they provide necessary research and communications support to the account teams to help achieve client goals.

Craig is a rising junior at Clemson University and is majoring in marketing with a minor in sports communication. Originally from Clover, S.C., he now lives in North Myrtle Beach. At Clemson, he is the social media chair for Tigeroar, an all-male acapella group and a student administrative assistant at TigerOne.

Katie Scott Sellers is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where she studied advertising at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications. She has spent most of her life in Memphis but now calls Greenville home. Katie Scott has previous marketing experience as an intern for the Forest Spence Fund.

Shaylyn Simmons is a rising junior at the University of South Carolina and is majoring in marketing with a minor in sports management. The Reidville native volunteers with Children’s Miracle Network and Ronald McDonald House Charities and has served as an assistant for the South Carolina House of Representatives.
