Crawford Strategy Welcomes Dynamic Interns for Summer 2019

Crawford Strategy welcomes Emily Simpson, Lauren Stambaugh, Patrick Forster and Meg Einstein as the 2019 summer interns. Crawford Strategy offers year-round internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates, providing the opportunity to work and learn alongside Crawford Strategy employees. This season’s talented class of interns come to Crawford Strategy from universities across the Southeast region. “Our 2019 summer intern class represents the future of the marketing and public relations workforce,” said SVP Director of Corporate Growth, Allison Mertens. “These students are driven, creative and possess a passion for the industry that makes them exceptionally teachable. We are excited to have them work on client projects and build industry experience.”

Emily is Crawford’s summer 2019 digital intern. She graduated from Chapin High School in 2016 and is currently a rising senior at Clemson University. Emily is a marketing major and brand communications minor. At Clemson, she is the Vice President of Professional Activities for Delta Sigma Pi, Public Relations Chair for Women in Business, and is a board member on the Marketing Student Advisory Board. She previously gained experience from an internship at Smoak Public Relations. In her role at Crawford, she supports social media accounts and digital projects for clients. She also participates in engagement and content planning for Crawford’s social media platforms. Simpson plans to pursue a career in marketing and branding and hopes to work for an agency as a creative director in the future.

Lauren and Patrick are marketing interns. Lauren, a Greenville native, graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 2016 and is a rising senior at Clemson University. She is a marketing major and sports communication minor and is also seeking a sales certificate degree. Lauren was the recruitment and marketing vice president for her sorority last year. She is also a Clemson tour guide, director of the semi-annual Clemson ring ceremony and a member of the Student Alumni Council and Order of Omega. Previously, she worked as social media marketer for SERVPRO of West Greenville County. Lauren conducts market research at Crawford and assists account supervisors with clients, business development and administrative projects. She would like to pursue a career in medical device sales. Patrick is from Fredericksburg, Virginia and graduated from Courtland High School. He is a rising senior at The University of Virginia and a double major in media studies and economics. Forster is involved in the Advertising and Marketing Association at his university. As a marketing intern at Crawford, he handles client research and marketing projects. Following graduation, Forster plans to pursue a career in marketing.

Meg is the public relations intern and helps the team with research and writing. A native to Greenville, she graduated from Christ Church Episcopal School and is a rising senior with an advertising major at the University of Alabama. She has experience in advertising and public relations and serves as a member on her sorority’s advertising & public relations and communications majors club. She is looking to pursue a career in advertising or public relations & communications.
