In this role, Dana is the agency’s resident expert on organic social media content and strategy. From concepting big ideas to stepping in to execute a plan, she leads the team in developing content for clients that fits into their strategic landscape.
“I’m thrilled to join the Crawford team, because not only are they a creative powerhouse, but they also foster an open and inclusive environment where you are encouraged to live out loud,” said Piccoli. “I’m looking forward to working with this incredible team and clients.”
As Senior Content Marketing Strategist, Dana is responsible for ensuring a collaborative environment between all arms of Crawford’s creative department in order to deliver the highest quality work possible. She works closely with creative and account teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging, and she is focused on continually raising the bar on creativity, whether it’s through generating fresh content or leading the charge on new digital initiatives.
“The Crawford team is vibrant, creative, and innovative. Dana’s expertise and energy not only enhances our team, but strengthens results for our clients,” said Creative Director Krit Hutchins. “We are excited to let her creative mind run wild with cutting-edge social media content and copywriting that will help our clients continue to reach their goals.”
Dana has nearly a decade of diverse industry experience as a social media strategist and influencer, which will prove vital as Crawford evaluates innovative solutions for client success. She has crafted content for all types of media and specializes in finding a brand’s most authentic voice. She comes to Crawford from Olivia Travel, the country’s leading travel company for lesbians and LGBTQ+ women, where she was the creative and social media content strategist and produced award-winning content that generated more than 4 million views. Dana is also an experienced freelance writer and podcaster, having written entertainment and pop culture features for numerous outlets including NBC, The Mary Sue, Go and Curve magazines, and more.
Dana and her wife Lana share a brood of “furry kids that like to cause a ruckus while on Zoom calls.” When Dana isn’t working at Crawford, she’s writing about LGBTQ representation in pop culture or coming up with new recipes in the kitchen. In 2019, Dana was named one of The Advocate Magazine’s Champions of Pride, proudly representing South Carolina.
