Crawford, a full-service marketing and branding agency, is proud to have earned nine awards from the South Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA) in their annual awards competition. The organization sponsors the annual awards program to recognize excellence within the industry, and this year, revealed winners via social media instead of its usual in-person awards banquet. Crawford received three Mercury Awards and six Silver Wing Awards. The Mercury Awards honor top campaigns while the Silver Wing Awards distinguish outstanding public relations tactics.
Crawford received three Mercury Awards for campaign projects executed on behalf of clients USC Upstate and American Zinc Products. Crawford is proud to support the USC Upstate team in a multi-faceted campaign designed to boost the university’s reputation in the region and earn recognition for its Integrated Communications and Brand Reputation Management campaigns. The team received a Mercury Award of Merit for its work with manufacturer American Zinc Products on Community Reputation Management as the company sought to improve its reputation and recruit employees.
“We have been fortunate to work with some outstanding clients on some very special projects, and we are honored to see our creativity and collaboration recognized by this competition,” said President and Chief Strategy Officer Andy Windham. “Being strategic and creative with communication has never been so important, and we are pleased to see our recent efforts recognized by SCPRSA. We applaud the organization for providing a special way to recognize our industry’s hard work during this unusual time.”
The agency received six Silver Wing Awards for specific communications tactics. The team’s efforts for media relations were recognized with two Awards of Merit, for United Community Bank’s grand opening event in Spartanburg and a special Media Day event held at USC Upstate. The team’s work for United Community Bank was also recognized with awards for its Internal Newsletter Relaunch and its Website Relaunch. The team’s work for American Zinc Products was also honored with an Award of Merit in the category of Video for its Explainer video. Finally, the team was also recognized with an Award of Excellence for its redesign of a print newsletter for client Meals on Wheels.
“This awards program showcases South Carolina’s finest work within the public relations industry, and we are proud to receive so much recognition for our work,” said Manager of Public Relations Emily Moseley. “Our team at Crawford is passionate about supporting our clients’ goals through communication campaigns and tactics, and recent events have shown just how vital communication is to a company’s overall reputation. We are grateful for the partnership of our clients and for the recognition of our work together.”
